UPDATED 21/05/2020
Precautions & Staying Safe
In light of government guidance, we are still providing the same quality service clients have come to expect. However, we have implemented multiple precautions to get people moving again in a safe and
controlled way.
Please be aware some companies have continued to carry out unessential moves during this crisis cutting corners and endangering all involved. We promise you we will not!
Moving forward, we will be following all guidance and good practices set out by the Government, Move Assured and other leading moving and storage organisations.
Getting A Quote
Getting a quote is as easy as ever, simply give us a call or send an E-mail. We may be able to give you a price over the phone or request you fill in our quick online quotation form if we require more information.
If required we can still carry out an on-site survey when agreed by both our client and our team. (precautions to be taken in this event.)
Handling Your Goods
Although we had made efforts to reduce the use of plastic, we will now reduce the contamination of all household furniture using a plastic wrap, this reduces the direct handling of goods to almost zero. We will also, use lifting equipment where possible to reduce handling further.
Our Vehicles & Equipment
Our moving equipment including vehicles, protective blankets and bags will also b cleaned/sprayed on a daily basis; they will also be rotated where possible to leave ample time between our equipment being used on another move.
Our PPE
As well as our client’s safety, our employee’s health is of utmost importance,
to minimise risks our employees will be equipped with:
● Overalls
● Masks
● Eye Protection
● Aprons
● Hand Sanatiser
● Hand washing stations
All staff have multiple sets of PPE to ensure it’s never worn between 2 different moves without being cleaned.
Alongside this, our employees are checked that they show no symptoms of Covid-19.
Packaging Delivery
It’s important that your household is packed to a good standard, this will reduce the time we require to be inside your home. It also reduces the number of small items we need to handle.
As ever, we are providing a contact-free packaging delivery service to accompany your move. We have also reduced our packaging prices to ensure the use of quality materials during your move.
Clients Help Us Stay Safe
Your Obligations
As well as the precautions we are taking to help keep you and our employees safe we request our customers to do the same. These precautions are simple and in-line with the guidance given by multiple organisations. Please take time to read this section and help us help you.
Ventilate Property
Before your moving team arrives to commence your move please open up doors and windows to allow airflow and ventilation throughout the property.
Disinfect & Clean
It’s important to clean your furniture and property before our arrival to a good standard, this includes high traffic areas such as hallways, banisters and door handles. Our teams will also clean high traffic areas once finished at each property.
Observe Social Distancing
During your move please observe social distancing, the 2-meter rule with
your moving team.
Where this is not possible we ask clients to wear a face covering. (pre-site walk around and final checks, etc…)
Limit Of People In The Home
During your move please only have 1 delegated person to be in the property at any time. This includes the prework walkaround. This includes pets and
children, Where possible please prepare a room you can relax in away from high traffic areas.
Wash Station Accessibility
Our team requires a washroom for our staff to use to clean their hands & PPE. The kitchen or bathroom sink will be fine. (We will provide all cleaning supplies for this)
Packing Your Home
The best defence is as little handling as possible. To help combat this, clients are asked to pack their home to a good standard.
Our reduced cost packaging will help you achieve this at little expense. This includes all small items as well as bedding, pillows, clothing, towels and
other soft furnishings etc…
Floor Plan
It’s best for you to have a floor plan ready for your new home to let us know how you would like your property and furniture set up. This will help us immensely on your moving day.
